Just saw the email- this totally makes sense! Something to look forward to in the depths of the Big Dark in the PNW. And now I have time to read all the books I had to drop when I was behind on reading Middlemarch.....and Dickens and Woolf and....
About Flannery...This past weekend I watched "Wildcat", the movie about her, starring Maya Hawke as Flannery (and directed by Maya's dad, Ethan). I know only the contours of Flannery's life, and this film didn't seem to take biographical liberties for the portion of her life that was its focus. Appreciated how they wove in some of her fiction, which really makes me look forward to reading her. And, Laura Linney as her mother (and...other roles) was outstanding. I streamed it for free by using Kanopy, which is the streaming service that's available through many public library systems (in my case, King County Library System).
Me too, I’m glad this will be at a different time of year because I want to participate in the Dune group but not on Saturday mornings late summer. I’m looking forward to it and to 2025!

Haha, the universe decided you needed some more time to catch up. And that I needed more time to write :)
Exactly! Love it.
Bummer that it’s postponed, but still excited for the class!
Nice! Wasn’t able to make the summer session work but will definitely be there in the winter!
aw, perfect
Great! I was bummed I couldn’t make it work this time but I’ll be ready for the winter.
Aw hell yeah, glad to hear it works better for you this way
