Ugh I’m in the book hole between books and I have so many to read but then I read a review and get starting anxiety.....please tell me IM not the only one!!
I am in a bit of a book hole myself, unable to choose between these four books. I may need to bring them all and see what's calling to me once the music starts.
I’ll be reading James McBride, the Heaven & Earth Grocery Store. I began with Matrix by Lauren Geoff, only to realize I had already read it!😂. Although it is worthy of a re-read.
I keep meaning to read James McBride. Googling that title, I see New York Times calling it "a murder mystery locked inside a Great American Novel." Wow, sounds awesome.
I can't wait! I've been splitting wood until dark the last couple nights (very satisfying, and also very tiring), and I'm planning to let myself off early tonight so I can get cleaned up and settled in with a nice cup of tea to read. I'm so excited.
I'll probably be starting Desire Lines by Cary Alan Johnson tonight. My interlibrary loan just came in, and I need to read it for a book club on Sunday.
Two of those are on the top of my stack: Frankenstein (which I'm trying not to fall behind on, because that's what I always do with big books) and A Room of One's Own. But also, I need to make dinner tonight, so probably also reading a NY Times recipe! Oh, AND a Seattle history book I just checked out from the library called Biking Uphill in the Rain. I think I need to have a silent reading party, like, every day.
Three choices for tonight are: “Switchboard Soldiers “, Jennifer Chiaverini, “Hope”, Andrew Ridker, “Temple Folk”, Aaliyah Bilal. I’m leaning towards “Hope”.

Splitting wood for a fireplace? I'm so jealous!
The original Frankenstein.
I still can't believe she was a teenager when she wrote it.

God, wouldn't that be dreamy? A daily reading party to get us from daytime to nighttime... sounds like bliss!
A Collapse of Horses

I'm glad someone else here is torn between several titles! These are all new to me, thanks for mentioning them. "Hope" sounds fascinating and funny...
