whoa, good for you!! That's not easy reading. I'm flattered that my love for it inspired you! I always tell people: the first sentence is missing. It's invisible. The first sentence is James asking his mother if he can go to the lighthouse tomorrow. Her response to that missing question is the first sentence

At the beginning of the year I always read a biography of a composer and an Agatha Christie novel. This year: Master Musicians Vivaldi by Michael Talbot. The Christie book is a late Miss Marple mystery called At Bertram’s Hotel.
