What are you reading?
If you are attending tonight’s Silent Reading Party, I’d love to know.
Even if you’re not attending tonight’s reading party, I’d love to know what you’re reading.
I’m teaching a writing class starting on Monday night, and one of the things I’m focused on is inspiration: where it comes from, how to channel it, etc. Over the five weeks of that Zoom class, I’ll be talking about my own inspirations, and one of them is Dorothy Parker.
If you are a writer — or if you are not but want to be a fly on the wall while writers and other creative types talk about what they are working on — here’s the link:
Upcoming reading parties
There’s a brunch reading party on Saturday at noon for anyone who wants to get some reading done while listening to live music during the day. That’s our only brunch party currently scheduled, though I hope we can do some more this winter.
Find all October parties right here.
November reservations are currently available on the FrizzLit substack and will be added to SilentReadingParty.com next week.

As promised, I am reading and loving ALL FOURS by Miranda July. But guess what? I gave up on Wuthering Heights.
Entitlement by Rumaan Alam - I am still easing into the writing style and perspective, but it’s great already
