Whether you’re coming to the Silent Reading Party tonight at the Sorrento, or tuning into the party from afar — just click here at 6:30 pm Pacific if you’re a paid subscriber — or not joining the reading party at all, what are you reading?
I love seeing and knowing what other people are reading. It’s one of the biggest joys of the reading party.
Tell me here what you’re currently reading:
January reading parties
The Silent Reading Party will happen in the Fireside Room on these dates in January:
Wednesday, January 7 over dinner
Saturday, January 17 over brunch
Wednesday, January 21 over dinner
In general, the Loveseat for Two is the most popular seat type at the party.
As of this moment, there is only one Loveseat for Two still available for the January 21 brunch party, and only one still available for the January 21 dinner party.
Act fast if you want one of those!
How to tip tonight’s musician
Paul will play original covers and arrangements of blues, jazz, pop, rock, and more — along with film scores and some of his own original compositions.

I have a stack of library books, plus Moby Dick, to catch up on....but it's also time for my annual re-read of A Christmas Carol!
I like to re-read a Robertson Davies book every December; this year it’s “Murther and Walking Spirits.” My parents gave it to me for Christmas in 1991 and at the time it was his only novel I didn’t flat-out love. Curious to find out how my feelings may have changed.
