Tonight I'm starting Bleak House by Charles Dickens. It will be on my Kindle, giving me the option to switch to Middlemarch. (Where's the Middlemarch club?)
I am also in the middle of The Garden of Earthly Delights by Joyce Carol Oates, also on Kindle, so I may switch to that. Try and judge by the expressions on my face.
Ah, so sorry to hear that you're not well, Christopher. Here's hoping it's a mild case, and that you're better soon. Drink lots of water, just like Suzie said. Thanks for the music! ;-) I finished my Middlemarch reading (so, so good so far) and now I'm cracking open "A Secret Sisterhood, The Literary Friendships of Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, George Eliot and Virginia Woolf".
I just flipped it open and read the third essay in, about editing the book of gay writers wrestling with religion. So good!! Then I flipped ahead to one called “Phase & Philosophy” and it’s about Moby Dick!!!! I am loving this book. I’m choosing what to read based on which first sentences call to me, rather than titles or order.
Hope you feel better soon! I’m going to get back to Middlemarch this evening- I’ve been enjoying the turns of phrase and getting to know the Brooke sisters.

I couldn’t get thru Bleak House, but I wish you luck! The book club is a Zoom class. I’ll send you the ticket link if you want.
Sure go ahead. My participation depends on how far behind I am.

Sounds amazing Alison!
Get better soon, rest and drink lots of water.
Thanks, Suzie
Oh Christopher! Take care... be cozy and at least you can read! I pulled Brian’s book off my shelf just now. Also Middlemarch tonight.

I'll be reading All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers. It's highly recommended on multiple platforms
Hope you have a mild case of Covid and recover soon. I’m having trouble finding my next good read, so will carefully watch these comments.
One of these days I gotta get you into book club. I think you’d love it
On my 2024 bucket list!
Hope you feel better soon! I’m going to get back to Middlemarch this evening- I’ve been enjoying the turns of phrase and getting to know the Brooke sisters.
I love the scene where they’re looking at jewels. I don’t even really know why. These Brooke sisters crack me up, each for different reasons
Hope you’re doing better soon. I’m reading The Warmth of Other Suns, Flash Fiction International and Middlemarch (per your reading club ).
You’re juggling a whole stack! I love the range of your choices.
I'm so sorry to hear that you're sick! I hope you recover quickly.
The music is such a treat. I'm enjoying listening to it while I finish my work day.
Good call! It’s making my day so much better
Dollface, my life is a shambles, but look at you, pushing my biz! THANKSAHOL!
