Tonight’s virtual party is free. It’s a Zoom broadcast of the live music at the Sorrento.
If you have a reservation at the Sorrento, you will be in the room where it happens, the room with the baby grand piano and the fireplace — and I will see you there!

I'm spending tonight reading a couple of favorites who are no longer around--Reading Alice Munro's "The Bear Came over the Mountain" from Hateship, Courtship, Loveship...(I'd finish but I've run out of oxygen) and then I'm going to dig into the late Paul Auster's biography of Stephen Crane, "Burning Boy", which is a very big book for Paul Auster. Sorry they are both gone...
I just discovered this newsletter/book club, seemingly minutes too late to join in tonight! But I’m interested in upcoming book discussions.
I’m currently reading An Instance of the Fingerpost by Iain Pears.
