The Great Gatsby book club
For its 100th anniversary, we're rereading Fitzgerald's classic

There was a FrizzLit book club reading The Great Gatsby in 2021, and some said it was their favorite club we’ve done.
For the 100th anniversary this April, we’re re-doing that club in a highly condensed form: just two weeks.
All my original research on the author’s life, the historical context of the story, the book’s dismal reception when it was published, and its later rescue from obscurity.
Plus the writing, the texture, the symbols and light, the references to Greek mythology and T.S. Eliot, and the thing between the lines that makes the novel newly relevant in 2025.
We start on April 12. More details here.
