Full video archive of the "Middlemarch" book club 2024
Recordings of all 18 sessions. Now available for paid subscribers.

For anyone who was in the Middlemarch book club, I’ve decided to put our full archive online, in case you want a handy place to revisit our discussions.
Personally, I enjoyed these discussions so much that I’m going into withdrawal without them!
If you weren’t in the club but you’re curious about FrizzLit book clubs — or if you want to read Middlemarch on your own — well, the archive of all the classes is accessible to you now, too.
We met 18 times between January and May of 2024, stopping every 40 pages or so to discuss what we’d just read, to dive into the historical context of the events in the book, to learn about the author’s life, and to explore the allusions to science and mythology.
Usually class recordings are only available to club members — who become members by buying a ticket — but it was such a good club, and I learned so much from everyone else, that I have decided to pay the Zoom fee to keep these recordings available.
If someone you know would benefit from these classes, consider giving them a paid subscription to this substack so they can access them.
I have never done this before, so we’ll see if anyone’s interested! If it works, I may do this more often.
