All parties include two hours of live music performed by Silent Reading Party star Paul Matthew Moore, who creates original arrangements of pop, blues, jazz, classical, and film scores. He talked about it with Good Morning America.

Host Christopher Frizzelle shares literary birthdays of the week at the start of each party. He encourages bringing several options for reading material, because the party lasts two hours.
