Exciting announcements!!

Last chance for Joan Didion book club, romance at the reading party, and August 22 FrizzLit Editions party in my apartment
2

Trying out a new format for announcing FrizzLit news!

Also trying out a new microphone. (Hmm, doesn’t sound great. I need a podcast-quality microphone for plugging into my iPhone — drop a recommendation in comments if you have one).

Here are the announcements in written form:

  • The summer-long Joan Didion book club starts a week from tonight, and we’re starting with this book. Sign up before tonight at 6 pm to find out what we’re reading in there for next week

  • Outdoor seating at July 16 rooftop reading party is sold out, but there are still outdoor seats for August 20

  • FrizzLit Editions Kickstarter ends in 3 days. Our goal is 38.4k

  • The first FrizzLit Editions book release will take place Friday, August 22 at Elliott Bay Books — with an afterparty in my apartment (press release below)

  • Did you know there was a marriage proposal at the reading party recently? They proposed to each other and they both said yes!

  • Dorothy Parker in 1939, as fascism is taking over: “So what I do about combating fascism is to see my people, and feel fine that we are together… and our time will come. That is my strength and my life.”
