A free event with the author of "Twilight of Bohemia"
Peter Trachtenberg will appear in conversation with me Sunday, March 23 at 5 pm at the Sorrento

When I was in grad school, every teacher I had was fantastic, but one of them was so good, so insightful, so creative and brilliant in the way he responded to rough drafts of my work, that he changed my brain — quite literally changed my life.
His name is Peter Trachtenberg, and he has a new book coming out, The Twilight of Bohemia.
And he’s coming to Seattle to talk about it!
Peter will be at the happy hour Silent Reading Party on March 23, from 3-5 pm.
Right after that, at 5 pm, we’re going to do a free event in the Fireside Room where he reads a little from the book and we talk about it.
You can just walk into Hotel Sorrento, 900 Madison Street, on March 23 at 5 pm, and join us, no tickets required.
Or if you want to make an afternoon of it, come to the reading party at 3 pm (reservations required), enjoy happy hour food and drink while you listen to live music and get some reading done — and you’ll have great seats already when the reading and talk starts at 5 pm.
Elliott Bay Books will be on hand selling copies of Twilight of Bohemia.
Peter is willing to take any questions you have — about artists he’s known and what odd ducks they are, about the writing life, about how to write masterful nonfiction, about whether artists should move to New York City… anything you want!
I’m really looking forward to this.
Thanks for the alert. Hoping to be there for the whole kit and caboodle.
